Some random clips from a day in WA and a day back home on the kite and tinny.
Thanks to simon for the kiteskate footage (hawaiian shirt), toby for the kiteskate footage (fisheye and picnic table), Nath for the kiteboard footage and Cam for the wakeskate footage and for buying a tinny!

I was expecting dudes speaking french followed by 5 minutes of car driving footage at the beginning.

Awesome, everyone should get into flat water and flicky tricks, there would be less people in waves

Don't worry plenty of waves were had by all Just didn't have the resources to film any of it. This footage was only taken from about 40mins of raw footage over 2 days. Hopefully I can team up with Keahi and Cam sometime soon and get some squiggle footage to impress the wave guru's out there, instead of all this spinny crap.

I can honestly say I know where your comming from, but I can also honestly say that that is what I think about the majority of kite footage. Cookie cutter styles, no originality, same old tricks... Kiting to me in itself has become stagnant and for the most part super boring to watch. Granted I'm not the best wakeskater or even wakestyler (i hate that word) out there, however I try and put my own twist on things instead of following the norm and going out riding with the sole purpose of doing another spin and landing tricks with 100% consistency.

The real question I believe is what sort of vid (kiting) do you want to watch?...

That is much better, nice drop and good looking wave
Maybe another 3 meters to the left on that pic would have been better but I am being very picky.

Yep-just don't get that stuff with park benches and wearing clothes kiting and.....different strokes for different folks and all that....but sh$t that's boring.

I don't get wearing clothes in general... why isn't everyone naked?

As you said, different strokes for different folks. I'm sure if I had made a vid of just riding waves other people would have been equally bored.

As I said before, if you find this boring (easy to understand why) I don't mind you saying so, but perhaps give some indication of what you think should be changed or what sort of video you would rather see. I'm interested to hear what floats different peoples boats.

p.s.@ Sebol, of course that is the desired location ("bodyboarders do it" - Toby B) However I also don't wanna post up the decent shots.

Sir Rowdy, you are the master of pickiness, a very sharp astute eye for criticism on quality of videos, the angle of filming, kiting looking gay as you much preffer wakeboarding.....

Sudenly someone comments on your vid and we need to send you a 3 page reports as to why and how it could be done better????

Personaly, I have no issue with the wake skate bit, just not for me, I am frothing on that wave tho, that would be a rush

Who said anything about 3 page reports?... Yes I am picky, hell I am even picky about my own stuff. (I don't honestly rate anything I did in this video that highly myself). All I wanted to get out of people was an indication of what they would like to see/ watch in a video... Is that to much to ask? Or are we all just down for the homogeneous TV culture of one-way communication? (yes I am aware I have perhaps just used an Oxymoron by using the term "one-way communication").

p.s. I don't think you understand me at all if you think I much prefer wakeboarding. And for the record I don't think "kiting looks gay", I do however think that kiteboarding (and the surrounding industry) for the most part is totally wack.

Mate dont worry about any of the critical bull ****. You spent the time making the vid and any knockers are either full of themselves or jealous. I can appreciate the wake skate parts and the wake style stuff cause i know it's not easy at my level and it's good to watch. I went on a down winder up the coast on the week end in 3 to 4 ft swell's, my first time in the surf, scared the hell out of me but had a ball at the same time so i will be keen to see more like the pic. anyway keep them coming...

These vids are the sort of thing I like to watch, Sean is definitely having fun and ripping.

There were a few bits in your vid I liked but I did walk away from it about 2/3rds of the way through, sorry!
The wave pic is excellent, and the knockers would not be saying anything about being further to the right if the shot was taken approx 1 second later.

more talking, flashes, pull ups, flails and gangster sh!t is needed i think. that would make the video more watchable.

i enjoyed the vid...
even the humour parts...

the only constructive feedback would be that eventually it started to seem that similar or same scenes are being repeated... so it could have been a bit shorter... otherwise fun

Tidy video Rowdy and some solid riding, thanks for sharing...

I would have to agree that anyone who says is video is repetitive needs to look at about 95% of the kite videos out there that just show variations on the one trick type for most of the film (excluding token car and artistic scenery footage etc). [insert kiting style here] isn't my thing, but if it's someone enjoying what they are doing then it's all good by me!

My only criticism is not enough out-takes, especially in boots on the picnic table

PS: Lol @ the carnage at the background at 1:20, that bloke had straps and still couldn't keep his board

Cheers fellas! I was waiting for someone to notice the kook in the background haha.
I have to agree that it does seem a bit repetitive although i didn't repeat any scenes (most flat water skate tricks all look pretty similar). If given half the chance I would have liked to hit a few more spots and a few different rails and features. I would have really like to do some filming in wave kickers, I find I like to watch that the most and it gives you the option to do different tricks.

p.s. There weren't actually any out takes on the table. It was pretty close later on though when we were shooting stills in pitch black with the table banked up on the sand dune. I clipped my nose on the front but still managed to ride it out somehow.

Yea riding a skate is pretty hard because anyone that has ridden one well agree its a bitch to learn trick due to the amount of stacks u go threw before landing one due to u missing the board when u go to land so props to ridin one so well .
