Seabreeze needs more kiteskate. I'm not grown up enough for kitescoop. There's pictures of boobs and stuff over there.

Dude I want to try riding in boots so bad. One day i'll be legit.

As I said before, if you find this boring (easy to understand why) I don't mind you saying so, but perhaps give some indication of what you think should be changed or what sort of video you would rather see. I'm interested to hear what floats different peoples boats.

Video of you guys kiting the still waves from where the wave shot was taken would be waaaaay better IMO-just so much more dynamic than the wake skate stuff-which I just don't get. Having said that, some of Ben's vids can get boring and repetitive-especially the onshore tweeked stuff with funky little hip turns etc..

The wake skate stuff would be OK as a brief interlude, along with some technical spin tip stuff-just to showcase the range of kiting and diff. 'disciplines'-but frame after frame of the same stuff is just yaaaaawn.

Just want to add, without being in any way sycophantic-thanks for the effort in shooting, editing and posting the vid-not wanting to dog you or your effort-I know how much time goes into a few mins of edited footage.

Cheers man! I definitely understand where your coming from and would like to (if I have the chance) do a short dvd style gig with the full range of disiplines that can be done behind a kite. That is really what I would like to do.

This vid was kinda made with the purpose of showcasing some of the stuff I can do on a skate behind the kite as there has been little to no footage of most of this stuff done behind a kite before. So you can think of it as the early days of freestyle, pretty boring to most people now, but in the beginning you wanted to watch as much of it as you could.

Also I see kiting as about 5 different sports in one, hence I'm not surprised people don't like this vid, because expecting every kiter to like it would be like expecting a skater to watch/rate a surfing vid or a surfer to watch/like a wakeboarding vid.

Thanks for the feedback,
Alex.

I like this photos. Nice colours

Your not progressing the sport with pics like this though as you are riding backside.

It's switch backside and if you haven't heard it's actually now considered as the future.

all one guy on flat water and still impressed me. I liked it man. I didn't find it repetitive at all. I like it way better than car footage and dudes thinking they are cool in big sunnies and ****. This whole vid (pretty much) riding. Impressive riding. I could watch impressive riding like that for ages if its not windy. Idea of one showing all aspects in one vid is good too i reckon. how many aspects are all? There are a lot. I'll watch for sure.

I dunno haha, I guess the main idea is freestyle, kickers/sliders, wakeskate, waves. That are the four I would like to focus on. And if it were possible I would like to make a video showcasing the original guys in Australia doing this, finding out what they are doing now, what they like doing now and what they are into (whether that be kiting or not). I'm sure with the mix of people from the early days and other people that I find interesting it would make a pretty cool DVD.
Anyone want to fund this project?

I like your idea of keeping it grass roots. Liked the looking down shot (fish eye?), sound track was a really good match, liked the humour and the kooks, maybe a bit more variation of the actual shots like getting more of the kite (must be hard though)

"That must be your nem... uh, like kryptonite" (classic)

My 2yro daughter hated it...maybe if you swapped the shirt for a Wiggles outfit

Thanks for the post

thanks for posting rowdy, i enjoyed. havent purchased my skate yet but intend to. what was the one u were riding? looked a little small? i am considering the cab eva deck one. i've done short vids half as long as that and i too know the time involved. i like to watch 'street style' (if u could call it that) kiting, jibs etc but agreed with whoever was saying it was a little frame after frame repetitive. i think maybe because it might have been only 2 or 3 locations? wouldnt take much more to mix it up alittle an make better, maybe more footage of a couple other jibs an a couple more angles. creativity behind a camera is an art. -well done overall tho an again thanks for sharing. -keep em coming

Oh yeah nice one! The skate I am riding is a 41inch Integrity wakeskate. It is very small when you consider the Cab skate is a massive 120cm. I have another custom kiteskate that I ride a bit and it is 113cm long. I don't mind it but I feel more at home on the 41' because I use that behind the boat to. It is actually very hard to go upwind on the 41' unless you are really powered so it is only suitable for certain locations. I have been thinking of how it would be possible to merge the best of both skates but every time I change something from the smaller one it just seems like it wouldn't be that great... Perhaps there is no happy medium between the two.
The Cab skate (or similar) would be good for you to get the basics down and even some more advanced moves.
I'm planning on getting a 39.5' skate soon hopefully.

As for the vid I totally agree with what you said haha, just need to find some time and people to film a bit more.

Obviously rowdy is intoxicated or has become so bored he has had to create another account in the name of "ian" just so he can have an arguement with himself.

Or if this is untrue they should have a kite off in the small cyclone to the north of rowdy/ians location to see who can do the biggest up wind air and flicky spin

Reading back through my posts it does seem I could have been a bit to harsh and for that I'm sorry. Sorry to Y'all Australians, cause I know a lot of you are decent folk and sorry to sir Rowdy for being as abusive as I was to him.

Sir ROWDY I have been talking to Ben and Ryland and they have vouched for you as being a kinda ok dude and a bit of a comedian. I myself like to get on the American forums and cause a bit of trouble every now and again so I'm sure if we could catch up for that beer one time we would get along pretty well.
I actually feel pretty silly and bad about this whole situation, so I'm gonna put this out there, but if you ever want to come over to Bali and kite Lakey's with me and the rest of the BWS crew I will try and help get you a spot where we stay and see what BWS can do to get you over there. Seriously if you get a chance have a chat with Ben I will fill him in.

I know it's no excuse but a lot of stuff has been going on in my life lately, from rolling boats to rolling to many scoobs. Unfortunetley subsequently Slingshot dropped me and I hit rock bottom and turned to the bottle, thus my only option left was to ride for the company that sells my medicine, BeerWineSpirits.

All the best,
Alex.

That is clearly the best kiting ever done on this planet and anyone who says otherwise is a deluded fool.

An incredible amount of intergalactic talent, but no more than one would expect from a talker of Rowdy's volume.

Only allowed to be ridden with kites without depower and suicide leashes attached to chicken loops, not 5th lines. Should make for some good video.

Thats funny you should mention "intergalactic talent" because oddly enough that is kinda where it all started. I was hanging out with Mike D from the beastie boys in his back yard when i looked up and this light beam hit me in the forehead. It was from then on that I had this super un-natural talent for kiteboarding and simultaneously a passion for making people angry on the internet.
