Hmm yeh, all the debate is kinda making me consider rockin out the camel toe after all!!! Be warned though, this may cause distractions to other kiters, which may cause them to act dangerously thereby inspiring yet another rant on here blah blah blah about irresponsible behaviour and how it just wasn't like that back in the day, camel toes were reserved for workout videos only! sorry didn't mean to change the subject harrharrr!

What are landing lines?

Probably I've used the wrong terminology - whatever the piece of rope is that's tied to a pole/ stake/ bush etc and the chicken loop to help launch and land safely when kiting alone.

Im very confused here, what is 'gay' about wearing boardies over a wetsuit?

As a very male dominated sport, as sad as that is, I wear them over my wetsuit as a sign of respect to other fellow male kiters, haha.

Im not concerned if they are heavier or inhibit my performance.
I will not ever be wearing budgie smugglers, so why would i subject fellow kiters to man bulge in a wetsuit?

I do not appreciate seeing any 'man bulge' or 'moose nuckle' on other men whatsoever, period.

Im sick to death of being surrounded in my car by overweight fat old man cyclists in lycra with stuff poking out everywhere, they even come into cafe's dressed like this. wtf. Rediculous. Very gay.

Last time I checked my bike rode perfectly fine with fn normal clothes like boardies.

Lets not allow this bulge hype to ruin kiting as well.
I've lost three good mates to lyrca, it terrible.

Unless your female, do us all a favour boys and start covering up your offensive packages

I thought it was to just add another sponsor for the pro riders.

I like to have a pocket and my shorty is slightly to small so my groin looks like a sausage in a bun, I decided to spare you that view...

But the same logic must apply to boardies in general? Why wear them when there is speedos?

None of the guys at my local do, so I can't say whether it looks better or not... But it is kinda distracting in summer when guys wear those super-thin stretchy boardies and nothing else. Distracting... yeah... what was I talking about?

Ezza, it's fine for guys to be sexist, but when girls do it's just plain sexist.

Hmmm, so you feel uncomfortable viewing the outline of male genitalia?

When you are down the beach your eyes are drawn to the groin area of males in westsuits and budgie smugglers. It makes you feel uncomfortable. You feel intimidated by men in lycra, they surround you in your car. You feel trapped, awkward. They even come into your fav cafe and again your eyes are drawn to their manhood. Your hands tremble, maybe a little sweaty?

Most males don't even notice these things, let alone feel uncomfortable!!

Psychology 101: Tell me a bit about your childhood, so you liked to play with dolls? Hmm, ok lets go forward a few years

You must be grossed out by the seat harness then.

Good point, does any body have a solution for the seat harness.

Seriously I have never really given it any thought. However, I live in the country and thankfully we don't get the same exposure to the lycra brigade passing thru

Ha Ha No!! Until I can consistently land my jumps without the risk of a saltwater enema, I'll be keeping my wetsuit on

mmmh, toe (female toe)

This argument is so old, who gives an F - what ever floats your boat.

Wear boardies, don't wear boardies - who gives a sh!t. If you are so concerned about it, you must look within yourself not f 'ing post it for the hundredth time.

Now Laurie, kill the thread!

It doesn't make sense ,Most wetsuits are black, black clothing hides curves bulges so on, so if someone is say more than ten meters away from you you can not make out bulges curves etc so for you guys that don't like seeing someones man hood stop looking so hard !! I have surfed all my life not once have i been told that someone doesn't like the look of my bulge.!! (Just kite)

This topic is classic,
the only thing stupider than wearing boardies over your wetty is giving a sh it if someone else does
What we need to do is rally together to stop those that wear rashies to night clubs

I heard it was to add contrast and shape to the kiters silhouette, thereby differentiating them from an item on sharks menu.

Each to their own.

I don't bother wearing them, yep, I'm older, I can't be bothered. To me, there's already enough equipment to prepare before finally getting in the water without adding something unnecessary.

There is a question I'd like answered from someone who does. Do you need a specially dedicated, larger than your normal size pair? I ask because I think if I put any of my boardshorts over a wetsuit they would be uncomfortably tight.

Then again, that could be the 'older guy' mid section I'm carrying.
