I got the email, but don't know what I may have ended up getting. Damn.
If anyone sees someone walking around with a very sore backside and a very painful ear, it'll be someone from BCF who made a rather embarrassing error. Glad I'm not them!
I have three transactions with BCF, all of which have been marked in ebay as 'shipped' on 17 May. I have now received an email direct, not via ebay, stating the same thing.
My intent is to wait for the delivery until the final due. If I have not received by then I will go through Ebay and then consumer affairs.
I think you'll get yours Megamax if you have a shipping confirmation.
Ebay gave me the impression they can't do much apart from listing a 'bad mark'against the seller.
With enough of these, the account gets stopped, but I can't see this happening.
If enough SB's are annoyed, and raise this on this thread, I could consider sending a link to this thread to the CEO if the consensus wants, just so they get an idea of how happy their customers are.
What say ye?
PM if preferred.
Dean
Yeah, i am getting all sorts of emails from them saying items shipped, then one saying i will get a refund, they are all over the place with this. Will give it a while then get stuck into them
. Really they should just order all the items from harken and honour the sales. We bought in good faith. They are not some little ma & pa operation. Can they afford a big PR stuff up
Shame cause i had it all pictured in my mind how the boat would look /go with all new blocks and cleats
Just a quick snippet, from the "Journal of Law, Information and Science".... always a handy link to have when you need some light reading.
"The Wirraway Plane case has clarified the law relating to online auctions — via the process of eBay — in Australia and confirms that transactions thus made via eBay constitute legally binding and enforceable contracts. Hence, the decision in this case reinforces the point that the ordinary laws of contract and, more specifically, those relating to auctions, do govern transactions for the sale of goods on eBay. The case is undoubtedly a welcome one since it will enhance consumer confidence in the sales processes underpinning eBay and ensure henceforth that vendors and purchasers will be legally bound by their respective offers and acceptances. The court upheld this reasoning. It noted that the eBay sale is a sale and a bid on eBay is binding and legally enforceable: ‘It follows that, in my view, a binding contract was formed between the plaintiff and the defendant and that it should be specifically enforced.’[101] The judge concluded that ‘an online auction created a contract in the same way as a traditional auction — the auctioneer is the agent of the seller and the agent can accept a bid on behalf of the seller — which is what occurs in an eBay auction’.
I think I'll do a more thorough check on this when I haven't been out for a dinner, a show and a few drinks, and then send a firm letter to BCF. We had a contract, you deliver the goods. It's not that hard.
I ordered and PAID about three hours after crustysailor posted, got my double jammer on Thursday morning.
Hope those who haven't received the "Dear John" letter get something, and for those that have,
the least $ would be enough to go to WW and get a replacement.
So do we really want to ensure someone gets the sack??
You're not really attacking BCF you're attacking some dude who had the inenviable job of trying to manage the stock levels of 2 online "stores".
What am I saying, that dudes already sacked. So we want more people sacked??
If you force them into buying new Harken stock to fulfill their obligations, more heads will roll.

the only sticking point for me is that i think that people who ordered before the re-listing error (when stock was actually available) should get their orders fulfilled.
I just want my money back. Theyre not really doing that quickly. My items were marked as sent also. Then i got the letter. How can they mark it as sent but not have the stock!
My delivery turned up today, 4 of the 10 blocks purchased arrived. my issue now is that the full postage amount from the 10 blocks has been charged.
I have sent an email (Thursday when the notice that they intended to cancel my order) requesting nicely that I do not wish for my order to be cancelled and the remaining items purchased (that I did get a shipping confirmation on ebay) be fulfilled as per their terms of sale.
Their email advised that they would credit us back by close of business Thursday, this has no happened (a Paypal credit is instentanious, so is not there as at 09:55 Monday) so am about to ring and find out WTF is happening.
Ive found the best thing with ebay is contact the seller and pick up if that cant be done i don't buy any one far to much hassle probably pay pal will take there time. and follow there rules it not worth the hassle. I don't bother any more
From what I've heard a few blokes may have ordered thousands of dollars worth of blocks etc which has blown the system out of order.
Maybe there should have been a limit per customer?
Anyway here is my spinlock jammer installed already on SEAKA.

BCF Australia,
Fine if
1> the 1300 880 764 number had staff able to answer questions, not just advise it is the BCF Ebay team that we need to talk to and these individuals seem to be uncontactable and not returning calls at the moment.
2> was promised that all refunds were to be processed by COB on Thursday the 19th, are you saying this did not happen?
Hi everyone,
just to give you an update from my end at least:
I have been in correspondence with the CEO of the company who owns the BCF group, and have suggested many SB's may not be happy with how much of this has been handled.
Of course you can continue to call BCF if you like, but I believe they have a clear understanding of the situation now.
It is being looked at.
When I get anything further, I will let you know.
Ps. I have no connection with BCF, just the poor OP that wanted to share some bargains.

B******t! - they didn't run out of stock, they discovered somebody made a horrible mistake discounting an very expensive item.
Rather than admit it, we'll just pretend there's no more stock and we can't get any more.....
I once bought a very cheap statesman off a wrecker . I cleaned it up and did a few jobs then advertised it added $6000 from memory
I had buyers coming out of the woodwork
just thought they must be in demand
First buyer bought it on the spot
A few months later I dropped by the wreckers where I'd bought the car .
Was told we made a bit of a mistake on the sell price ![]()
So both the buyer and myself got a good deal![]()
Guess there something in the old adage of "there is no such thing as a free lunch" ...... or "Buyer beware"
personally will not deal with BCF regardless of price after an experience with the local one ..... left me wondering where they found this particular young man.

Totally agree with that, I won't buy anything from them based on the performance of their staff in store, not knowledgeable at all. For the same reasons I also don't shop at their other shop front business, Super Cheap or as I call them "Super Chinese", equally useless.
Anybody received refunds yet? I'm getting pretty annoyed. No response from bcf either. Bcf never again.
When you buy something on ebay, quite often there is a stipulation that you "Have entered into a legally binding agreement to pay for the goods you have just bought". Strikes me as strange that the legally binding agreement only seems to be in favour with the seller and not equally with the buyer as well to be able to receive the goods he paid for in this legally binding agreement.
