I'm just reminding people that someone else should get to it.
My local is already crowded enough in summer so for that reason I'm not organising.
But I heard something like NSW are keen. What about SA they were keen last year
Just a suggestion, what about somewhere like point impossible vic ![]()
Looks like a sick place but I dont know much about the place or when it works.
It just seems central for everyone from qld to wa ![]()

Do you want catch up and sail in Geraldton for 2010 ?We will make it happen with your support.
Awesome photo King.
What are the chances of conditions being on for Spot X?
Just as reliable as anywhere in Gero?
You thinking early 2010 or end of 2010?
Its never been in Gero and it been in Robe at least twice that i have been to,
It really comes down to, do you want to maybe sail in Robe or Sydney OR do you want to definitely sail perfect conditions in Gero.
i grew up chasing the dragon that is robe and i bailed that dodgey place for gero, why cause it is windy and swell all the time.
We are all over it and have the support of the Gero Windsurfing club the local council, G-Spot extreme just to name a few.
It cant be in tassie cause 3 in a row, no way.
plus all the best sailors come to WA and there should be a good contingent ready to chomp the gero scene.
Ozzie 2010 wave titles can be nowhere but gero...
We are super keen to run it this year.
EARLY TALKS ......... is about holding it some where between /around 1st of january to the end january from a saturday to the following sunday 9 days.

As faaaarrrrrr away as it is Gero has my vote. If ya going to travel some distance it has to be somewhere with reliable conditions.
I reckon if the 2010 Aussie titles are gonna be at Spot X, then we should just save everyone all the trouble of actually holding the event and declare Jaeger the winner now.
If its going to be held in wa, is gnaraloo an option. Im not up on the politics over there but it that an option, seeing it is one of the best spot on the planet?
Hey Dan
Although Gnaraloo is one of the best places on the planet, it's only good if there's a decent swell. Nothing worse than sitting around in Gnaraloo with 45-50+ degree heat in the middle of summer with no shelter and no waves. Unfortunately it's really only Sept - Nov where you're pretty much guaranteed to get waves. That an late March April.Rest of the season is very fickle. Swell for a day or maybe two in amoungst weeks of nothing.
The Spot in Gero is pretty good and even if it's small swell, the wave are still better than most other places along the coast. Small swell in Gnaraloo means complete flat water.
I'd vote SpotX at Gero for sure.
Just some info here, at the m/river event a great location and we had great conds
Just read the write up.
There were more euros in the comp than AUSTRALIANS WTF
It took a lot of time from john g to get this comp happening and the locals ie WA wave sailors don’t even turn up????
I really think u need to lock the sailors in early
Get the entry fee moneys so you know who’s in
who gives a to who enters. It's the nats so it should be who ever is best wins. Even if it is a pro or worse a euro.
Ive never heard of any pro/amatuer issues, dont think it has ever even been mentioned. It is comp that basically determines the best australian wavesailor of that year ( or whichever turn up) I personally dont think non australians should be allowed to enter as it is for the "australian" title. My 2 cents
ps if itis held at spot X do we get issued 4wds with the teeshirts at sign on? In a way Ide love to go just to find out where the spot actually is, no one would ever tell me[}:)]
