This is a step to try to maintain 3 Mile Camp as a WILDERNESS TOURISM destination so that generations to come can still get away from the all encompassing commercialism and consumerism.

a piece-of-sh1t desert camping ground,

Let's be brutally honest here.
Gnaraloo is all about the wave set-up.
The periphery is just dirt and dust and thorn.

they could ahave a designated GST. (gen set time) say 11am till 1pm. with a good battery charger that should be enough to run a fridge and lights etc for 24 hours.

(solar panels are also dirt cheap these days.)

depends on the quality of the dirt, it's very close to the price of chips, but I've seen 80w solar panels for around $400.

The lease of Gnaraloo station should to be filled by a pastoralist that is focused on maintaining the ecosystem within its boundaries.
Instead as of 2012 you will pay $75 per night for a "premium"
patch of real estate with basic ammenities maintained by woofers.
Gnaraloo is supposed to be rough.
Get a solar panel and jam ya gennie where the sun dont shine.

I'm pretty sure they do have a GST, they are to be turned off by 8 or 9pm but not everyone can tell the time apparently. I don't mind if they are run mid day with a four stroke only policy but this place is made to rough it. Sunset park in Gero are so strict your not allowed to start your lawn mower, honest, it's in the rule book, you ask Rider, Windy or Greeny.
