First windsurfer or first Kitesurfer......I'm confused?
.....Or maybe it's the future and it's a new hybrid of the 2 sports???
Think thats Newman Darby, many argue that it was he who invented the "windsurfer" concept. All down to the pivoting universal joint??
Great Photo. I remember doing it on hollow fibreglass board (Maybe green) made in Bassett St, Mona Vale. (No later than 84 - I thought more like 82)). The guys bought me lunch and slipped me $50 and I was stoked. Boards were quicker than windsurfer but didn't last long. Don't know what they were though.
