Do you reckon we could get a new tab on the seabreeze site for single windsurfers dating. since windsurfing seems to be the cause to all my relationship breakdowns maybe its time to date a bird with the same interests. could even break it up into wave ,speed and freestyle catogaries

Dream on mate!

> cause of all your problems

Wanna talk about it ?

Women will always conflict with windsurfing and want to restrict it. It's called "control", or "nesting" for the politically correct. It always starts with "I understand it's your sport, I never want to interfere, etc." Next thing you know you end up painting walls and decorating the house - at her taste of course.

Worse: if you manage somehow to teach a sheila *and* she takes to it, then she'll dump you anyways.

Ya need to find one that has an equally taking, regular sport activity, tennis, whatever. Then she'll understand you and give you time and space. Macrame, going out with the girls, skiing twice a year and beaching don't count.

Did you want other advices here ?

Could turn gay. (not that there is anything wrong with it) and you would have a bigger choice of partners.

38yo Male. Strong, Fit, Balding. Likes walks on the beach holding hands (after sailing all day), likes drinking coffee and cake's at cafe's (before a good windy session), likes shopping (at night when I cant sail).

Able to accomodate anyone, not fussy. But must be blonde, skinny, tall and attractive. Your name can be Suzie or some other name.

Someone's done this before! I can't figure out what any of the abbreviations are. Doesn't matter, I already know you're not my type.

geez, this place is as bad as Overclockers Aus (The other forum I frequent)
Girls dont like the internet IMHO.
maybe we're looking in the wrong place ;)
I went to a pub on a saturday night and picked up a girl. from there I introduced her to windsurfing. maybe you need to go out and meet a hottie, then get her into windsurfing, be the instigator :D

Ryan get a life spending time trying to make computers go faster Overlockers is why so many windsurfers like us don't have time for girls and hence they don't have time for us.
Do you have a GPS mounted in your board and does it make it go faster?

Problem is not to get a GF, that's the easy part. The problem is not to have her take over everything, including the sport.

Anyways, regarding the ratio: the last 25-30 guys (at least) that I've seen teach their GF where teaching in the worst possible conditions. As if they wanted them to fail, as if they just wanted to look good. The macho thing.

I mean, super-strong wind, smallest possible unstable sinker board, and worse: highest possible boom. Of course the Sheilas give up.

I concur

That is why I teach on a Mistral Prodigy, a 4m X6 mast, full carbon boom and a light 4m North Freestyle sail. VERY user friendly
I can even sit on the back while she sails.
They really do take over don't they? :( My last girlfriend lost out to windsurfing, she didn't like how much I did it... I was about to do the dirty, but she was a champ and left me...
(That makes me feel so low) oh the things I will do to go for a sail.

I've even seen a father do this to his daughter, perhaps he didn't want to risk her getting better than him????

True story:
Melville Beech 3 weeks ago one very very good windsurfer who will remain nameless, just had to go and teach this young lady, beginner, with the green bikini top and matching G string the finer points of how to stand on a windsurfer and maybe hold a sail.
That he strayed into deeper water (He is tall) so that he was looking up (from her ankles) for a free 30 minutes lesson was strange. I and others on the beech gave him the vote for doing the yards in appreciation of a great looking girl and possible mate.
I wonder what PWA people charge for lessons?
