12m North rebel and Naish 133 twintip.
More importantly: Quiksilver rashie, Billabong boardies over a ripcurl e-bomb springsuit. Make sure the logo's are visble, don't wanna look like all the others.
Oakley Monsterdog sunnies, a GoPro, iPhone, WRX STi, cold corona with slice of lemon afterwards.
Patrik 100 litre slalom board, 36cm carbon volt and 6.3m Warp.
No one but no one can pass me on this set-up.
As albers said..no commitments....no kids,no work...freedom to sail as long as i want and not have to rush to get anywhere afterwards..this is my fav set up!
As for equipment..i have as much fun on a 100cm board cranking upwind in 10-15kn as i do on a 40cm board sailing deep in 25kn (not that it happens all that often
)
Summer (ocean): JP 85L FSW, Severne 5.3 Gator (avatar)
Winter (lakes): Fanatic 100 Hawk, Severne 6.5 CodeRed
15-20 knots I'm usually on my 86L Starboard Fish but this year I have ordered an 82L Starboard Quad. Still got my trusty 5.7 Tushy Rocks to boot![]()
iSonic 117w, 8.6m Point-7 AC-1, Severne 210-260cm boom (customised as formula boom width!), 44cm Z-Fin S- ;-)
Hi Sean and Pointman,
In 15-20 knots you guys are riding pretty big slalom boards. You would be both travelling fast so the apparent wind speed would be higher again.
Pointman, I am going to ride the 135 V2 cant wait. Not sure if I can hang on in 20knts though.
Sean, what wind strength are you racing the 117wide on the world tour?
And for Tim, 5'5" is 164cm. Are you sure? thats short! most are around 230cm these days!
Hi Pointman, I will ride the Patrik 135 V2, it is 20mm wider and 10mm longer than the 135.
I weigh around 90kg but I should be 85kg.
31.5K congrats
My favourite combo for 15-20 is
Isonic 111
RS:Slalom MKIV 7.0
C3 StingII 40cm
Not that we have had much 15-20 lately...
