With your sights set that high a sewer would do . That's about the next worst after Perth.

Sandgropers complain about the traffic. Honestly you have nothing to complain about. The CBD streets are more like the streets in a country town than a capital city with a few cars driving by every now and then. Pedestrians have an easy time of it. The freeways are good and traffic seems to flow.

You obviously havent driven here lately, the freeways are two lanes and clogged frequently, when they merge to 3 lanes everyone does 80. Although I do conceed outside of peak hours you can cover a lot of distance in a relatively short time.

I have never come across so many idiots on the road, the world over (mostly south and centralasia) than here in w.a..

guys hugging the right hand lane on a freeway for kilometres on end ten kays or so under the limit just to turn off at the next exit..

road train drivers are awesome, deserve twice their pay and a medal for putting up with the donks they have to deal with daily...

sydney schmits all over w.a for courteous drivers and thats goddamn saying something, i once made it from the bridge to mona vale in thirty minutes at four o'clock in the afternoon and was all but driving on the foot path to get there...

^^thats got nothing to do with anything, but I'm eternally proud of the silver bullet, two wheel cornering and all

last time I was on the freeway heading north out of Perth I am pretty sure there was an off ramp on the right.

there are no off ramps from the right lane .

You might be thinking of the farmer freeway where you come out of the tunnel and if you stay in the right lane you go over a bridge and onto the mitchell freeway but it's not an offramp

And JUNK MAIL

Surely there is nowhere on the planet where you get so much junk mail pushed into your letter box ?

Hell, often they can't even jam it all in so they just spread it about on the verge somewhere in the general direction of what may appear to be a letter box.

Perth is awful. Its too sunny, the beaches are too clean, the water too warm, the breaks too empty. Plus there is wind every bloody afternoon! Nobody in their right mind would live here!

Ive travelled extensively and lived in a few countries around the world and found WA is the retirement capital of Oz. As you cross the border you enter a time bubble, life moves alot slower here and people slurr there words because we're to lazy to open our mouths when we speak. We should have a state flag depicting how laid back WA is with the term "She'll be right mate" plastered across the bottom. We wait 4 to six weeks to get anything from the eastern states why, blahhh cos it doesnt really matter mate, our customers can wait and if they dont want to wait why not buy it from over seas and it will be here in 2 days,, go figure. We pay $9.50 for a pint, $20 for a packet of cigarettes, $5 for a bottle of water and dont get me started on what our local ladies of the night are now charging...lmao, There are more millionairs per capita in WA, probably all retirees from the eastern states wanting a slower lifestyle in there later years, who buy our pubs and charge $9.50 for a pint to compensate for the fact that thier retirement money would dissapear in 2yrs due to the cost of property and living expenses here. Ahhhh Perth, the most isolated city in the world where the biggest debate of our time is whether or not our kids would go to sleep if the sun is still out on the daylight saving schedule....and teenage girls pump out babies for the government handout because they cant be bothered working.....Yep... Perth has a certain indescribable something that boggles the minds of those that live outside our border bubble, which should be signposted {"Caution!!! Risk of mind numbing experiences"}.

Funny though.

I am sitting at home now after 1 day in Perth 10 days in Tavenui Fiji and then 3 days in Sydney. All on holiday.I dont know any of them very well. Sydney drivers are no better than Perth, Bus driver stayed in the right hand lane all the way from airport to Woolomooloo both trips. Sydney is cool did Bondi and Manly(sore neck now) Meals are 50% cheaper in Sydney and service is way better guess thats the pokies which Perth can do without IMO.
Perth is more laid back but with that comes the "Wait awhile" tag
Would I live in either? Na good to visit but better in the rearview mirror.
Next week is Manila and then Surigao for 4 months another culture another big city but then in the rural areas again.
Lifes alright
