Hi Torch!
No! It's $150 to enter, exactly the same as last year and inclusive of GST.
There is a $500 fee payable if you lose, do not return, break or destroy the Yellow Brick Transponder, which retails for 399 GBP.
What i have to give my credit card details now? Why?
I should be able to pay when i know i have place not before. Is this just another data mining thing?
I suggest the organizers put the race rules up early.
Ie. when not to cross the line/ green flag.
Give slow learners 3 months to get their act into gear.
Most people I don't believe had a problem, I know I didn't.
But you may have heard that from another townsville local who used a race board with race fins, but most people used surfboard style boards
Im ready!
High tech "Cashies Rocket". $95 including glass and sand paper!
Just hope to get in now.
BTW why no vids of 2011? Seemed to be heaps of film crew there??
Yeh the rocker in the long tail slowed it down.(Not anymore!)
Cant believe how well built these boards were!.
Looks good LouD.
It may only be the 1st of October but it's beginning to feel like summer. ![]()
I just registered for this and for the Wedge Wave comp today and it is 33 degrees outside ATM. ![]()
I got my hands on a Stonker the same as that just after last years race and tried it against the Stone Surf Design board that I used and I think it was faster, not too sure though so the will be a bit of experimenting to do.
Mind you there is still time to make a custom.........
something must be wrong, because any time I click on the www.lighthouse2leighton.com.au link it takes me to the 2011 website, then if I click the "registration page" link it just reloads the page... does anyone have a screenshot of the page and link? I know I'm bad with technology but I didn't think I was that bad!
Last year it was work in North Queensland, this year I'll be in friggen Canada. Next year too. ![]()
Top 10 finisher from 2010 probably isn't going to secure me a spot anymore in 2014. ![]()
Hi Competitors!
Just to clarify again the $500 * virtual deposit * will NOT be taken from your account at any time before the event. The $500 will only ever be debited if you:
Lose, do not return, break or destroy the Yellow Brick Transponder, which retails for 399 GBP.
That's it! Your information is securely held at all times and credit card details will be destroyed immediately after the race. The reason we require the information at time of registration is for overall efficiency and ease of entry (i.e. so you actually dont have to register again once you have a confirmed position).
Our objective is to run a fantastic event and make it easy to register and participate.![]()

Put my entry form in , fingers crossed my name is pulled out. And I hope the wind is a lot better wind than last years 10-14knots rubbish.
