Well user the interest we take in kites is because we all like a good belly laugh [}:)]
And why are you posting here if you are so pro kite? Still have a yearning for a pole? To move at speed and do a real jump not a girly boost and wiggle like a worm on a hook.To get real power in your bottom and top turns.....To ride a real board not a concrete screed...But i guess you are part of the "want it now" generation so not much point going on...
BWAHAHAHAHA to you User[}:)][}:)]

I wish !!

The things you describe hardly ever happen now do they?? Never enough wind for a start. (El Nino or Global climate change or something.

4 down.......9 to go ! (about the total number of dedicated windsurfers left! )

one thing I did find a little curious with the whole kite kook getting dragged up a wall thing, was the fact how many of you kiters jumped straight onboard giving him ** like he was the exception, now dont get me wrong, Im aware there alot of kkok sailors out there, but seriously. If you guys outed all the tools out of your sport, there wouldnt be many left.
Why did so many kiters on the forums do this? Personally Ive seen this kind of thing happen plenty of times to kiters, why was this incident any diferent ( apart from the 3 million spectators)

Kiters like User are such a bunch of toys... duhh, I think I'll just post something on Seabreeze that will make everyone think I'm a total idiot; THAT'LL show 'em...

Much respect to all the regular kiters, as long as they stay the f*ck out of the way when grown folks are on the water!!!!!!!

Like, kiters are ever going to be impressed or upset by any windsurfers!

On the other hand, you poledancers seem to take an awfull lot of notice as to what kiters are doing !

Pretty rich coming from you, when there is a thread about this in the kiteforums... but you just keep coming back to see what us windsurfers think of you.
Bit needy are you?
Need a hug?

You kooks read my other post here to get my opinion of the small brains you must have to waste your time calling me names and coming up with pathetic, schoolgirly names !!

You are only making it worse for yourselves !

Next session you have, and you see a kiter out rippin it up all over you,you will be thinking of me !

Why can't you respond in an intelligent and articulate manner??

Mr Plod and Elmo. You know the meaning of oxymoron. eg as in a kitesurfer and an intelligent and articulate answer... and as in a kitesurfer and don't be a tosser.

I beg to differ on that point, Being a kiter does not maketh a tosser.

Tackerankerly speaking when kiters get into strife they get lofted or dragged, whereas us windsurfers tend to get "catapulted" or "tossed", it should be noted though that dosen't make us tossers but tossee's.

We have a great kiting crew down our neck of the woods.

My last post was more a personal observation on Mr Users posts, not on Kitier as a whole group.

As a personal observation on Mr Users post we are agreed and I retract the reflection on kiters in general.

Sorry Plod,I had something ,like ,usefull to do !

In answer to your question.........

We,as responsible kiters, and the AKSA (Aust kitesurfing Association) are trying our best to self regulate and promote safe kiting.

Kitesurfing is BANNED at Bondi, for good reason. At most times it is too crowded, and we don't wish to have a member of the public hurt or inconvenienced.
There are many tourists at Bondi, and unfortunately Euro kiting tourists have a reckless reputation.

The Guy that went out was experienced and knew of the bans.
Hence, RESPONSIBLE kiters are not very happy about his actions and the very public coverage.

We are trying very hard to get the message across that WE as a community will not tolerate reckless and dangerous behavior.

Hope that helps.

Oh and for those amongst you, rubbing your grubby little hands together with glee about kite bans, the windsurfers tried that on Maui. Not only didn't it work,it looks the windsurfers might now become effectively banned . There is a strong proposal in the Council to prohibit WINDSURFING within 200 ft of ANYONE in the water !Surfers included.

If it happens, ONE swimmer or Surfer out at Hookipa etc. means NO windsurfing. They have already had POLICE come down and confiscate someones gear.I understand that Josh Stone became involved. He must be worried, making a living from short term windsurf specific rentals. They are also tring to shut THAT down as well. Presumbably to get rid of the Windsurfers and make way for developers.

So be warned, you try to take down Kitesurfers you might go down with them !

They seem to be OK with kitsurfers .
No one swims at Kite Beach anyway ,and kiting is already taboo at Hookipa most of the time...so no great loss.

Hi User - see its really working for you guys - wasn't the guy at Bondi an ex-president of the AKSA. The episode does more damage to you guys than you realise - whenever you use that comment in retaliation to submissions on bans the instant retort is that footage, it will actually be used in the original submissions. The bans are coming - btw you are aware aren't you that there is a bunch of people taking footage around the place of kiting antics to use as evidence for the future submissions

Hey User, on a more serious note - why don't you book a session or two (probably 100's) with hardie, or one of his associates. You seem to really need to enjoy life more.
